The stock market righted itself entering afternoon trading Monday, reversing earlier losses immediately after the opening bell.
Two bits of economic news may have helped the run.? A poll of the National Association of Business Economists found its members more confident about the recovery and January pending home sales hit a two-year high.
Approaching 12:30 p.m. on Wall Street, the Dow Jones industrial average was up 0.07 percent, the S&P 500 rose 0.10 percent and the Nasdaq was 0.09 higher.
